Solar Inverters Warranty

Solar Inverters Warranty:

Solar inverters are intended to change the Direct Current (DC) of a solar panel cell into an Alternating Current (AC) that can be fed to your grid, or used around your home.

Solar Inverters are critical to the smooth installation of a Solar PV system as they conduct maximum power point tracking, which ensures you get the most out of your Solar modules.

Maximum power point tracking is an important element in as Solar Inverters system. The system determines the maximum output of a system in different environmental situations, it comes to these conclusions by using sensitive algorithms that can detect energy output in certain situations. This is a very important element for a Solar PV modules success, and is why Solar Inverters are such an elementary part of a solar system

Growatt Factory Warranty:

For the inverter with this warranty card you purchased, you receive a Growatt factory warranty valid for 10 years from the date of installation and no more than ten and a half years from the delivery date from Growatt New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. This warranty includes all defects of design, components and manufacturing.

Excluded from warranty are damages due to:

  • Breaking the product seal (opening the casing) without proper approval
  • Transport damage
  • Incorrect installation or commissioning
  • Failure to observe the user manual, the installation guide, and the maintenance regulations
  • Unauthorized Modifications, changes, or attempted repairs
  • Incorrect use or inappropriate operation
  • Insufficient ventilation of the device
  • Failure to observe the applicable safety regulations
  • Force majeure (e.g., lightning, over voltage, storm, fire)

SunPower Warranty UK:

SunPower warrants that for 25 years from the beginning of the ‘warranty period’ it’s photovoltaic modules “shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal application”. They ensure that under these conditions the power output of the modules will be 95% of the ‘minimum peak power’ for the first five years, and shall decline by no more than 0.4% for the proceeding 20 years, hence ensuring that the power output at the end of the 25 year warranty period will be at least 87% of the minimum peak power rating.

If any PV module fails to conform to the limited warranty, and the cause is not found in the ‘limitations and exclusions’ of the module, then SunPower will repair, replace (new or refurbished) or refund the defective PV modules. SunPower will also create an equal or greater power rating. If none of the above is feasible then the panel will be refunded to the purchase price of the defected module.
